This file has become corrupted. I will upload the video again when I return to Australia in three weeks. Originally known as “The Gwailo Song”, this song is about the great city of Hong Kong from the point of view of a whingeing expat. Although many expatriates love living in Hong Kong, there are some aspects of life here that are hard to come to terms with. Unfortunately this song gets out of date very quickly as it refers to events in the news which soon disappear from the public consciousness. For example, the case of the woman being arrested for dropping her keys was newsworthy for a while as were several cases of windows falling out of poorly-constructed buildings. The “bus uncle” incident caused a big stir when it was posted on YouTube. These are the last of the photos I have of Bobby Fischer. He opened the first Philippines International Chess Tournament in Manila in October 1973. There are pictures of him visiting Corregidor and the provinces. He then went to Tokyo and Hong Kong.The last picture is of Bobby in Pasadena dated 4/19/1974, taken by Svetozar “Gliga” Gligoric, Yugoslav Grandmaster, a longtime friend of Bobby’s.
